Today we see young shepherd boy David knew it’s not his own hand but it was God’s hand always protected him, so it was easy for him to take on goliath. Similarly, in your fight you need not collect weapons, but hold fast on to God’s hand. In Gospel we see the man with a withered hand. If God made David’s hand so POWERFUL to pierce the forehead of goliath with a sling shot, couldn’t Jesus use the same POWER to heal this man. Jesus first asked the synagogue is it right to save or kill on Sabbath day, but they did not answer in their proud, insecure, jealous minds. Jesus stretched His hand and took his weakness upon Him, as He did for us all on the Cross. Thus today He invites us to hold fast to Him and Him alone!
